Bill Wilkat Love the Steely Dan sound and feel to this tune. Kick butt some more and do a harmonic solo with the Sax and guitar on a future tune--that will make the hair on the back of people's neck stand up! Favorite track: Motion Sickness (Live).

Colourblind 03:39
This is dedicated to all of you race deniers. Who do you think you are? Just like when models declare that looks don't matter, who would believe it by far? Don't say you're colourblind. Out of sight out of mind. No, don't be colourblind. There's things to see. Cause if you're colourblind and in that frame of mind, then you will never find reality. "I don't see color," is a lie and you know it is. Spare me the self-righteous jive. I don't pretend we survive the same experiences. We have a different life. Don't say you're colourblind. Out of sight out of mind. No, don't be colourblind. There's things to see. Cause if you're colourblind and in that frame of mind, then you will never find reality. Ah, yeah! Mulatto is working overtime, trying to find his place! Mulatto is working overtime, trying to find his way! Mulatto is working overtime, finding his place. When you're colourblind things are out of sight, in that frame of mind... when you're colourblind.

Volcano of oil coming up from the ocean floor. Internal disorder that killed eleven men on board. Short term, long term, will there even be an end? Gift that keeps on giving. Easy is the trend. Intern, extern, will you be a hand to lend? Members, will you need the people there to send? You got it and you got the bills! You got it and you don't fix it! But you got it and you got billions! You got it and you won't fix it. But you got it and you got the bills! You got it and you don't fix it! But you got it and you got billions! You got it, but you won't fix it! Everybody loves to point the blame, yeah, then everything would just remain the same. No! Everybody loves to play the fool, yeah, yet everybody knows the golden rule. Yeah! Volcano of oil filling the Gulf of Mexico. Inferno destroying everything wherever it goes. Ecosystems threatened by the negligence. Industries will have their layoffs in the end. The communities will crumble, there and then. CEOs collect their bonus in the end! Yeah!

Look at planet Earth from space. You will only see one face, one rock, one little world that's shared by all. Maybe then you wouldn't see, the differences between you and me. Ain't nothing when you look at we from far. If you look from the universe and spot our little planet Earth, then what is all the fighting really worth? From space you can't see border lines, no guns to keep you on your side, one rock, one world that's shared by many lives. And everything we love is in a pale blue dot... insignificant dot... Sagan's dot. One map to guide us where to go. Dividing lines direct the flow. One planet sub-divided many times. People can communicate, but separation by the state cause good folks to miss all the signs. But looking down from outer space, there are no lines to separate, one rock, one little world that's shared by all. So why can't we understand that all of this is just one land? There's only hope in unity for all. And everything we own is in a pale blue dot... insignificant dot... Sagan's dot. People come together!

Sometimes, I just sit and wonder, noticing the time go by. One step forward, two steps backward. Many before we arrive. Political correctness causes us to ignore the differences of masculine and feminine. She's caught up in man's Genesis. You got to set her free! Baby, you got to let her be. She's not like you. She is a woman. She has her own mind and ways of doing things. Got to let her go! Baby, you got to let her know she can shine her light and have the freedom to realize her full potential. Sometimes, when I sit and ponder, I think about the reasons why we let our differences be squandered, but I’m not you and you’re not I. Political correctness tells us it ain’t no differences between, But you and I know better because our differences are plainly seen. You got to set her free! Baby, you got to let her be. She's not like you. She is a woman. She has her own mind and ways of doing things. Got to let her go! Baby, you got to let her know she can shine her light and have the freedom to realize her full potential. Let her realize her full potential!

Better Place 05:27
Is something wrong with your world and everybody in it? It’s so strong and I can’t help it if I notice it and want to try to bring about a change. I want to take you to a better place, well it’s hard when you think things through. Maybe I’m better off in another space, far away with you. You’re on my mind when I’m sitting home alone while you’re out and I try, then, to understand how to do it right, because I want to bring about a change. I want to take you to a better place, well it’s hard when you think things through. Maybe I’m better off in another space, far away with you. You know, I want to take you to a better place? Ooh, a better place! You know we got to make it better in the world! I want to take you to a better place, well it’s hard when you think things through. Maybe I’m better off in another space, far away with you.

about

Voodoo Jazz started as a group of kids making music that moved us. But as often happens, life took people in other directions. For me and Alex, the core desire to make our music remained. Sometimes you're lucky enough to meet people whose passions align with your own, and despite distance and distractions, the work you do together is always surprising and fulfilling. This record is a result of that chemistry mixed with the passion of our new members. Here we are, after a lot of hard work, excited and hopeful for the future. Thank you for joining us on the adventure.

Merci.
